Initial Consultation

The journey begins with an initial consultation at mediDental care. Our dentist will examine your mouth and review your dental and medical history to ensure that dental implants are the best option for you. During this visit, we'll discuss your treatment goals, whether you prefer fixed or removable implants, and outline suitable treatment options. We'll also provide an estimate of the costs and answer any questions you may have.

If you decide to proceed, you'll undergo diagnostic tests, including a cone beam CT scan, digital x-rays, and digital dental impressions. These tests help us evaluate the bone quality and quantity available for implant placement and plan your treatment precisely.

Preparing for Implant Surgery

Patients often worry about being without teeth during treatment, but you'll receive temporary teeth to use during the healing period. At your next appointment, we take additional impressions to create your temporary teeth and make final preparations for surgery. This visit is also an opportunity to address any further questions.

Implant Surgery

Your dental implant surgery will take place about three weeks after your preparatory appointment. We use computer-guided surgery to ensure each implant is placed accurately, providing a more comfortable experience during and after the procedure. Once the implants are in place, your temporary teeth will be attached. These temporary prosthesis help stabilize the implants as they heal and fuse with the bone, a process that takes three to six months.

Finalizing Your Permanent Teeth

After the implants have healed, you'll return to our office for final impressions of your implants. These impressions are used to create your permanent implant teeth. We take great care to meet your treatment goals, including a mockup of the permanent bridge for you to try. Adjustments can be made for fit and appearance to ensure comfort and satisfaction. Once you approve the mockup, we replace the temporary bridge with your new permanent teeth, completing your implant treatment.
